What is Hypnosis?

A common misconception is that hypnosis is like sleep when actually it is more like a heightened state of awareness even though the effects of the trance may look similar to sleep by the untrained eye.

During this hypnotic state it is your subconscious mind that takes centre stage, which is the part of the brain responsible for automated behaviour patterns. This allows us to reprogram any unwanted habits or traits into positive, desirable ones via suggestions.

In short, it helps you to reach goals that previously seemed unattainable.

Will I lose self control or reveal secrets?

No, you are always in control.

You can not be made to do or say anything against your will even during hypnosis.

The subconscious mind is able to either accept or reject any suggestions it's given.

People under hypnosis on stage (despite what they may claim) are totally in control and are simply willing participants in a show and accept the suggestions for a bit of fun.

How is hypnotherapy different to stage hypnosis?

The fact is they both put you into the same trance like state but it's what happens when you're in that highly suggestibility position that sets them apart.

A hypnotherapist is a qualified professional who is trained to help you manage and deal with a large variety of issues.

Hypnotherapy is used to help improve your health and wellbeing where as the stage hypnosis is used for entertainment purposes.

Can anyone be hypnotised?

Yes, everyone has the capability to experience hypnosis.

You have most likely experienced a type of hypnosis previously but you may not have been aware that you were in a trance.

A good example of this is when you drive somewhere and forget part of your journey or become completely immersed into a film/book that you zone out from your surroundings.

As long as someone can understand and follow the instructions given by the hypnotherapist then they can be hypnotised.

How much is a consultation?

Whether face to face, online or on the phone, our initial consultations are FREE of charge.

We will assess your unique circumstances, requirements & suitability for hypnotherapy sessions then agree together the best course of action to take.

Behaviour Change 3 session package (recommended) at  £299

Individual session price 60 minutes: £120  per session

(No charge for any person deemed as unsuitable for hypnotherapy treatment during any initial consultation)

Do you have a Cancellation Policy?

Any session that's cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged in full

Where will the sessions be held?

We have a treatment room in Newbury within 5 minutes walk of the train station.

This location also has free parking available.

Mobile & online services are also available, assuming certain criteria are met (please ask for details)

What should I expect a session to be like?

During your initial consultation we will discuss your needs and any reservations that you may have regarding hypnotherapy.

We will then agree the best course of action for you before moving on to the hypnosis.

You will then be put into hypnosis and given the previously agreed suggestions to your subconscious mind in order to help manage your particular problem.

Each session will last approximately 1 hour with the exception of stop smoking and some other packages available such as weight loss & sports performance.

Results can be dramatic requiring only 1 or 2 sessions however with complex conditions, additional treatments may be required.
